AL COLLINS, PH.D.

Psychologist with over 30 years experience evaluating and treating ADHD

Dr. Collins is a clinical and cultural psychologist with interests in applied neuroscience and psychophysiology. He specializes in ADHD and associated conditions in children, adolescent, and adults. In addition to psychological evaluation he uses quantitative EEG in assessing ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and depression, etc. Al has published widely on cultural psychology, and has presented at national conferences on biofeedback. He has taught at several universities and twice served on the board of directors of the international society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR).

SHANNON ISLEY, PSY.D.

School psychologist and therapist with 15+ years experience with Autism and related disorders.

Dr. Isley holds her doctorate in School Psychology with a specialization in therapy. She completed her graduate work in York, Pennsylvania at an autism clinic. Shannon has extensive knowledge and experience in assessing for and treating autism and related disorders. She is trained in the administration of the ADOS-2. She specializes in determining if autism is present in children, adolescents and adults. She also works with families and individuals through therapy and group therapy to improve maladjusted behavior. In her free time, Shannon enjoys the outdoors and hiking with her husband and two dogs, archery, and playing guitar.

ELAINE MOLCHANOV LCSW, IAAP.

Jungian psychoanalyst and clinical social worker.

Elaine is a Jungian psychoanalyst who works with adults, teens, and children. Her practice interweaves Jungian depth psychology with spiritual practice and yoga, pursuing her own psychological growth as she helps others seek theirs. She uses techniques of art, sandplay, imagination, and dreamwork, always listening for the voice of the soul that is within all of us. Persons with ADHD and related conditions have unique issues relating to their neuropsychological difference, but are like everyone in orienting around the inner self or soul. Elaine works with her housband Al Collins in giving workshops on the depth psychology of ADHD and its relationship to culture.

KATHLEEN OSBORNE, PH.D

Therapist with many years experience in working with ADHD.

Dr. Kathleen Osborne holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Kathleen specializes in Attention-Deficit/Hyper-Activity Disorder (ADHD), particularly with adults and adolescents, but also works with anxiety, depression, and other disorders. Her dissertation was titled “The Effects of Working Memory Training on adult ADHD Symptoms” using the Cogmed Working Memory training program, one of our clinic’s tools for ADHD, and working memory training. Kathleen performs individual therapy services, as well as psychological testing (again specializing with ADHD), but she can also conduct testing for other mental health issues, personality functioning, and intelligence testing.  Kathleen also works closely with medication providers, if that approach is indicated and/or desired. Kathleen utilizes mindfulness and relaxation training through simple biofeedback and HRV breathing techniques; HEG biofeedback (for ADHD and MIGRAINE headaches); cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); and other modalities. She is also receiving ongoing training in neurofeedback, and is working towards certifications. Kathleen has 16 years of experience as a mental health therapist, and 30 years of experience in social services in Anchorage. This has included working with the general population, but she has also worked with chronic and more severe mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse. During her time off Kathleen enjoys photography, going for drives, hiking, and being in the outdoors.

Kristen Allton, Ed.S., LPC, NCSP

Kristen is trained as a school psychologist and licensed counselor with approximately 11 years working with children and adolescents. She has background with conducting psychological evaluations, functional behavior assessments, developing individual behavior intervention plans along with group and individual counseling. She has experience working with ADHD, Autism, Mood Disorders as well as Anxiety and Depression. Her practice is based on cognitive behavioral principles. Kristen incorporates mindfulness into her sessions and uses evidence based programs that encourage hands on learning. When she’s not working she enjoys backcountry skiing, rafting, camping and fishing.
